The Graduate Scholars Award was established to enhance the geographical diversity of applicants to the Graduate School of the University of Charleston, SC. In the belief that the education of people is not confined to the classroom, the University encourages individuals from diverse backgrounds to meet and exchange ideas and experiences in the collegiate environment.
The South Carolina Graduate Award
Deadline: Fall - April 1 Criteria | Application
The South Carolina Graduate Award was established to attract South Carolina resident applicants with high scholastic aptitude to the Graduate School of the University of Charleston, SC. Interested students should contact the program director of the program to which they are applying for a letter of support.
Note: All South Carolina Graduate Awards have been made for the 2016-2017 academic year.
Joint Program Award
The Joint Program Award is available to out-of-state College of Charleston students in joint programs with the Citadel: English, History, Middle Grades Education, and Computer and Information Sciences. Students may not have an assistantship or other scholarship that qualifies them for an abatement in order to be eligible and should have their program director send a letter of nomination to the Graduate School office.
School of Education, Health and Human Performace Scholarships
Graduate students in M.A.T. or M.Ed. programs should review the scholarships and fellowships offered by the School of Education, Health and Human Performance. Please visit their website for more information.
Alumni Association Scholarships
The College of Charleston Alumni Association offers two scholarships for eligible graduate students: the Young Alumni Graduate Scholarship and the Trident Construction Alumni Association Scholarship. Please visit their website for more information.

The Center for International Education at the College of Charleston provides several scholarships for international study and travel for eligible graduate students.
