Types of Graduate Degrees
We offer personalized programs of study, keep classes small and offer numerous opportunities for internships and research. Degrees offered include:
- Professional Master's Degree - These are two- or three-year programs designed to prepare students for specific careers. Examples include the M.S. in Accountancy and the Master of Public Administration.
- Research Master's Degree - These programs prepare students for careers as professors, scholars and professional researchers. Many graduates of research master's programs continue on to earn doctorates. Examples of these types of degrees are the M.S. in Marine Biology and the M.A. in History
- Specialist Degree - More teachers are earning advanced degrees to specialize in a particular field of education. Examples are master's degrees in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and Science and Mathematics for Teachers.
