After a proposal is submitted, 2-3 weeks may transpire before it arrives at the Provost's Office.  Therefore and to avoid delays, the originator should monitor the review steps in Curriculog and contact the respective reviewer (chair, dean, and/or provost) if the active proposal sits at a step for more than 7 days (one week) without action.

Provost's step deadline for new degrees, programs, and certificates, which must also be reviewed by Academic Planning and Budget Committees prior to Senate consideration.

Provost's step deadline for prerequesite/co-requesite-change, credit-hour change requests, placement scores, and course number.  Changes to a course's co/prerequesites, credit hours, placement scores, and course numbers for the 2021-2022 academic year MUST arrive at the Provost's step by this date.

Provost's step deadline for new course proposals.

Proposals that do not reach the Provost's Office by 2/12/2021 will not be considered.  All 2020-2021 Undergraduate, Graduate, and General Education Curriculog forms will be deactivated and unavailable for use after 2/19/21.  The new 2021-2022 forms will be activated and ready for use no later than July 1, 2021 (once U and G catalogs are finalized and posted).  Faculty can continue to work on curriculum offiline during the period of deactivation.  All proposals that are created on 2020-2021 forms, but do not make the last meeting agendas on the Faculty Curriculum Committe (3/5/21) or the Graduate Education Committee (3/4/21) must be deleted and restarted in 2021-2022 using the new forms and the new catalog.

IMPORTANT: CHE approval (new program, program modification) can take 5 months if there are no issues or delays.  New programs require SACSCOC approval and may not begin until approval is conveyed.  CHE notification for new certificates and notification of change for concentrations or programs totaling 12 credits or less require 3 months for review and acknowledgement prior to start.
