Graduate Programs
It’s a fact: Place matters.

At the Graduate School of the University of Charleston, S.C., we offer over two dozen graduate programs that leverage the abundant natural resources found throughout the South Carolina Lowcountry to enrich our students’ experiences while also preparing them to be leaders in the community.
The coastal marshes of Charleston serve as living laboratories for scholars in our marine biology and environmental and sustainability studies programs, while historic houses and museum collections offer unique opportunities for history and public history alike. Public administration and arts management students learn from and work with experts in the strong nonprofit and arts culture in Charleston.
Of course, the Charleston economy is not solely rooted in the coastal environment or history of the city. The region is booming economically, with a multitude of Fortune 500 companies and tech companies settling in the region. With such a strong business community, the job market is ripe for our talented MBA students, which helped the program earn the #1 ranking in the country for job placement after graduation. These tech companies also heavily recruit our computer science and data science students.
These are just a few examples of the programs that take advantages of the people, places, and businesses in a historic and forward-thinking port city, and the graduate school continuously works to add more programs that will cater to the growing needs of this remarkable region. Regardless of the program you choose, you will explore new concepts with exceptional professors who love to teach. With an average class size of 12 students, you will get the individualized attention you deserve.
